Twist and Shout is an all time classic song and drum track, and a complete must for every drummer to be able to play.

The drum part is a classic Ringo Starr masterclass, only playing bass drums where absolutely necessary and really stripping back the drums so that they cut through. There are also many levels to this song in terms of the drums, and the fills happening every 4 or 8 bars are always different so really injects that feeling of a live human take into the song, something that can be missing in modern tracks. Also this song kind of filps the standard approach of hats in the verse and ride in the chorus, using the ride in the verses and only going onto the hats in the solo section. Using different sound sources on the drum kit for different parts really makes this drum track.
